Microsoft Corporate Vice President Phil Harrison opened up the Eurogamer Expo on Thursday with a presentation for the Xbox One. One part of that presentation focused on the console’s DVR feature that lets owners not only record gameplay but allow them to record and edit in picture in picture commentary as well.

The player then recorded a video commentary of themselves using the Kinect camera. The gameplay video and the commentary were then merged together with different editing options to present the two together with a picture in picture style video to be shared with others privately or publicly.

Microsoft previously announced that the Xbox One DVR feature would store a five minute buffer of gameplay video but Harrison curiously stated that players will be able to record “as much or as little as they want.” It may be he misspoke or it may be that the console’s recording features have been expanded to better compete with the 15 minute buffer afforded the Playstation 4.

The Eurogamer Expo video featuring Harrison’s presentation on the Xbox One has since been set to private but the console is set to release on Nov. 22. The Upload Studio will only support uploads to Xbox LIVE at launch with YouTube and Facebook support coming in 2014.
